d. Sprinkler Digital Temperature Controller
The sprinkler digital temperature controller is a programmable
microprocessor used to monitor temperatures via a Resistive
Temperature Device (RTD).
NOTE: Operating parameters are preset at the factory and
should not require any adjustment.
2. Sprinkler System Operation
NOTE: Refer to the ladder diagram provided with the dryer for
specific relay logic.
Master Relay - The coil in this relay must be
energized in order to close the
contacts needed to supply power to
the dryer’s control system.
Relay 1 - The coil in this relay energizes if the set
point is reached closing Contact 1 and
Contact 2. Contact 1 latches Relay 1 on.
Contact 2 closes, turning on the sprinkler,
the horn, and the reset button light. Relay
1 will remain energized until the reset button
is pushed.
Relay 2 - The coil in this relay energizes if the set
point is reached closing Contact 3, de-
energizing the Master Relay, and shutting
power off to the dryer. Relay 2 will remain
energized until the reset button is pushed.
NOTE: The Sprinkler System will remain on
until the basket (tumbler) temperature
falls below the set point, and the reset
button is manually activated.
